Tim McGraw unveils 'Swampstock 2008' plans

Tim McGraw [ ] will yield to his home turf in Rayville, LA, next month to host his annual "Swampstock [ ]" benefit.

Now in its 15th year, the Sept. 13 event--proceeds from which benefit McGraw's and wife Faith Hill [ ]'s Neighbor's Keeper Foundation--will characteristic performances by McGraw, Hill, Catherine Raney, Halfway to Hazard, Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean.

In addition to live music, organizers will mark the occasion by teaming with Habitat for Humanity to refurbish the Rayville Recreation Center during a community build that will begin Sept. 9 and wrap on the day of the concert.
"We are anxious to return this year with an amazing crease up of artists," McGraw said in a press release. "In addition to supporting Rayville Youth Baseball and the Steve Colvin Scholarships, it's a great to add Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita and keep the focus on helping the local community. I'm supporting everyone to help us make this one of the most successful Swampstocks ever."

PTSD Influences Levels Of Depression And Pain

�Patients with accident or trauma related chronic painfulness often have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. What isn't clearly known, however, is how PTSD relates to mood disorders and pain severity in chronic pain patients.




University of Michigan researchers examined the contribution of PTSD to the pain experience, functional disability and frequency of depressive symptoms. They studied 241 patients referred to the university hospital's pain rehabilitation programme who reported their pain began subsequently a traumatic injury. The subjects accomplished the McGill Pain Questionnaire and were administered the Pain Disability Index and the Post-traumatic Chronic Pain Test.




Results showed PTSD and depression ar significantly correlated and both disorders ar associated with perceived disability attributed to chronic painfulness. Therefore, in cases of disabling accident-related chronic
